I’ve had my jaw pain problem for many years. I had pain in my jaw; my face would swell and I had ear pain. The dental hygienist at the VA Hospital referred me to Dr. Klein. I’ve been coming to Michigan Head and Neck Institute for about a year now. Dr. Klein made a mouth orthotic for me and as long as I wear it, I don’t have the pain I used to have. It’s very comfortable to wear and I’m so much happier now since I’ve been coming to see Dr. Klein. Thank you very much. -Lupe Juarez |

I want to thank Dr. Klein and his staff for the wonderful treatment I received at the Michigan Head and Neck Institute. I went to Dr. Klein because my jaw became locked and I was in excruciating pain. Dr. Klein was able to see me right away and immediately assured me everything would be okay. It seems I suffer from TMJ (lock jaw) and since Dr. Klein also suffers from TMJ, he knows exactly how I felt. I was able to get an MRI and Dr. Klein was able to fit me with a mouthpiece. Once I started wearing the mouthpiece, I immediately noticed a difference. I am truly grateful for Dr. Klein and his staff at the Michigan Head and Neck Institute.I would recommend them to anyone suffering with TMJ. You no longer have to live in pain, especially when Dr. Klein is there for you!

When I came to Dr. Klein, I was in pain, had not slept a full night for a long time. When the pain hit, my teeth would rise up from the jaw pain. Since I’ve had my mouth orthotic, I don’t have any pain at night and don’t clench my teeth at night. I feel so blessed to have found Dr. Klein.

To say my experience was amazing would be an understatement! My appointment was made within a week of my call. I was treated in a dim room and a very comfortable recliner for my initial work up. Then, to this layperson, detailed x-rays were done. Everyone in the office was delightful and very considerate. The office atmosphere was professional, quiet, comfortable and calm. Dr. Klein checked my x-rays, examined me and was very happy to tell me that I had a “sprained jaw”…an easy fix with a bite splint. Actually, the very annoying clicking stopped after his examination and massage of my jaw! He explained everything to me in detail and showed me where the problem is on a model…very helpful and important to me. I didn’t know that TMJ is a medical problem not a dental problem and how many uncomfortable and painful things a person can experience with TMJ trouble. It continues to amaze me how much better I am sleeping with the bite splint in place. It was different but comfortable right away…I was surprised. I look forward to going to see Dr. Klein. He is a warm, knowledgeable man whose goal is to make you feel better.

Extremely severe, disabling headaches, dizziness, blurred vision and nausea, that lasted for days, were my life since 1984. These symptoms were treated with pain patches and oral meds with no symptom relief. I tried everything from acupuncture to various healing modalities. I had no personal life. Finally, I consulted with Dr. Klein and he was the ONLY professional, of the many with whom I consulted, who took an x-ray of the TMJ. Dr. Klein identified the problem and treated it with a retainer and multiple adjustments to the retainer and physical therapy. It is a year later and I am virtually symptom free. I am so appreciative and grateful for all the excellent care I have received from Dr. Klein and his wonder staff
